learn more2025 was a clarifying year for our community, as we dealt with the impacts of major storms. We saw fewer people moving to St. Pete and significant growth in the rental market inventory, stabilizing housing costs. The Tampa Bay Rays walked away from a long-negotiated deal, opening the Historic Gas Plant for other development opportunities. We continued to track progress on smart growth and good development including the development of new downtown condominium projects that will significantly increase property tax revenues for the City.
Next year promises to be even more consequential with potential Transit Oriented Development zoning along SunRunner and new zoning as part of the Innovation District Master Plan. This is a pivotal moment in the history of our downtown and our collective efforts today will create lasting impacts for future generations of people who choose to call this place home.
