Grand Central District

Just west of the Downtown Core is Grand Central District, designated nationally and by the State of Florida as a Main Street America™ Community. It is home to hundreds of locally owned and operated independent businesses. Merchants include restaurants, bars, art galleries, studios, antique stores, health and wellness providers and professional services. This District hosts many events and festivals throughout the year and is surrounded by historic neighborhoods. It boasts a vibrant nightlife and is pedestrian and bicycle friendly. It hosts the annual Pride Parade, the largest pride celebration in Florida and the second largest in the Southeast—a significant contributor to the city’s 100 percent score on the Municipal Equality Index. A number of new residential developments are underway in the District.

“As a small business owner, one of the many things I love about St. Pete is the strong sense of community...The authenticity, diversity, and uniqueness of the community is what makes St. Pete thrive and is truly remarkable.”

THE VOICE OF THE COMMUNITY

Jerry Hobson

While living in Myrtle Beach, SC, I knew I wanted to move to St. Pete and start my small business after several visits. I absolutely fell in love with the city and its amazing energy and all it had to offer. I was fortunate to find a space in The Grand Central District and Blue Cottage was established in the fall of 2018.

As a small business owner, one of the many things I love about St Pete is the strong sense of community.

We all support and refer each other. The authenticity, diversity, and uniqueness of the community is what makes St. Pete thrive and truly remarkable. I am so very grateful to be part of the vibe and zeal that is St. Pete, along with the other amazing businesses that make this great district.
