Lunch Pals Needed at Lakewood Elementary

Lakewood Elementary is seeking partners to support a life-changing mentorship program for its 480 students. These children face many challenges—food insecurity, homelessness, unstable home environments—and they need caring adults to provide stability, encouragement, and hope.

We invite Downtown Partnership members to get involved by becoming partners with Lakewood Elementary through the Lunch Pals program, offering their staffs the opportunity to mentor there. Mentoring is simple and requires just 30 minutes once a week—no special skills needed. Just showing up, listening, and having fun can change a child’s life.

Lakewood Elementary is conveniently located just 10 minutes from downtown, making it easy to participate. This program comes at no cost to companies or their staff.

To learn more and to be provided with information you can share with your staff, please contact Ron Diner at rondiner@hotmail.com. Ron is a dedicated mentor at Lakewood Elementary and can share firsthand the incredible impact this program has on children’s lives.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference in our community.
