Partnership Statement of Support For the Gas Plant Redevelopment Plans
Today, Mayor Ken Welch announced his selection of the team led by the Tampa Bay Rays to redevelop the Historic Gas Plant District. The Partnership appreciate the thoughtful, inclusive and disciplined approach Mayor Welch used to make this decision. The Hines-Rays team has the structure, incentive and financial strength to deliver a truly exceptional project that honors the history of the site and builds on our Mayors vision for equitable development.
This year, our Urban Exploration Trip was to Nashville to learn more about their projects including Nashville’s successful transportation ballot initiative.
