The St. Petersburg Innovation District and Downtown Partnership are working together to construct and manage a new research facility that will support downtown’s marine science industry. The project will include lab space, offices, and bays with access to the water for nonprofit, government, academic, and for-profit entities.
We have identified a site on the Port of St. Petersburg, on land owned by the city adjacent to the existing Maritime and Defense Technology Hub. The site has access to a deep-water port and is currently being used as a surface parking lot surrounded by chain link fencing.
